Still looking for a place to call home, traveling is the only constant in Seb’s life. Spending most of his life in Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand allowed him to discover the beautiful neighboring countries of Southeast Asia. His time in Switzerland, Poland and London opened up the gates of Europe for him to explore. Both experiences in these regions gave him a true sense of the traveling life.
Seb attributes his nomadic nature to his father who instilled within him everything he knows about traveling, not by telling him but by simply taking Seb along with him on many trips. Never one to follow a guide book, Seb’s father taught him that the best way to travel is through the people you meet along the way in life. Seb created Colliding Continents based on that concept, to share the knowledge his network of travelers have and to share it with fellow adventurers. It also keeps him sane when not traveling.
To say that he is obsessed with adventuring is an understatement, his life centers around it. It is the source of who he is and of his perspective on life. A recent experience in Africa reaffirmed this and re-opened his eyes to the culture he is very much involved in. When it comes to philosophic perspectives, Hammurabi said it right:
‘Tear Down thy house,
Build a ship,
Abandon wealth,
Seek after life.’
- Hammurabi
