A dual citizenship, 4 passports and 17 countries later, Tara is committed to exploring and capturing the essence of cultures through photography. Tara is an internationally exhibited and published photographer based in Washington DC. Her specialties are travel, documentary, and environmental portraiture.

 

Tara currently freelances for DC Magazine, events, and weddings. She is a proponent of the DC creative economy, and serves on the Marketing and Development Committee for Artomatic. Formerly, she was the assistant to a National Geographic photographer, and was the Assistant Director of the David Adamson Gallery.

 

Her most recent travels took her to the mountainous interior of northern Honduras where she photographed a Virginia-based non-profit provide health care and development services to the under served communities of La Libertad, Valle Bonito and San Antonio de la Libertad. Tara hopes to continue documenting international humanitarian organizations. She also hopes to soak in every hot spring in Iceland, float in the azure waters of Zanzibar, and hang out with the monkeys at Angkor Wat.
